When my partner and I got engaged, we immediately knew we wanted our celebration to be untraditional.

As avid hikers, what better venue than one with a mountain backdrop? Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada was a bucket list trip for us, so as we started to plan our wedding, it felt like the perfect place to celebrate.

Our plans quickly began to take shape: A weekend-long celebration at a luxury home in Alberta with 20 of our closest family members and friends. With so much to plan, I knew I needed outfits for more than just the wedding day.

I wanted pieces that would work seamlessly for the entire weekend and knew I needed low-maintenance options that could offer both comfort and style.

My All-Season Quarter Zip was immediately on my packing list and became my go-to piece throughout the entire weekend.

Details Are Key For A Micro-Wedding

The best part about a micro-wedding is the space to focus on personal details. We were not interested in many of the aspects of a large wedding. But we did care deeply about creating a meaningful experience for our guests that honored our relationship.

We wanted to put care into planning the entire weekend, to make it a special experience. Plus, with an entire weekend to plan for instead of just one day, I had to think about what outfits would be comfortable, stylish, and versatile.

The Charcoal color added just the right amount of sophistication to my outfits, while the All-Season Quarter Zip style offered space for casual pairings as well.

Elevating My Look For Special Moments

As any bride knows, for a wedding morning outfit, details matter. The yak wool material of my sweater kept me warm on an early morning coffee run that my partner and I used as a chance for a quiet moment together. This was a moment that we prioritized.

As the day progressed, I kept my sweater on throughout my hair and makeup, knowing that the Quarter Zip would give me plenty of space for safely changing later on.

While we did not have a photographer on our wedding day, we chose to have an intimate photo shoot on our own instead later in the week as we spent time exploring the area.

It was freezing during the photo shoot, and I pulled my sweater on and off to stay warm without ruining my hair. I even got to snap a few photos with it on. I love the way the Charcoal pops against the beautiful Emerald Lake.

Staying Warm And Stylish Throughout The Weekend

A weekend in the mountains can bring along warm days and very cold nights, and Canada was no exception.

On the day after our wedding, our group took a hike in a nearby park to enjoy the beauty of the changing trees. The sun was warm, despite a chill in the air, and the breathability of my yak wool sweater allowed me to stay comfortable.

On our last night, after a beautiful and sunny weekend, we even experienced a sudden and magical snowfall. For moments like these, I was able to pull on my Oliver Charles sweater to add an extra layer of warmth, knowing that the style would pair effortlessly with whatever I was wearing.

In the end, my Oliver Charles Quarter Zip became more than just a one-time wear item for my wedding; it became a part of our wedding weekend story.

From casual outings to the most formal moments, it was the item of clothing I reached for again and again. It allowed me to stay comfortable and feel stylish throughout the entire weekend and will now forever hold memories of these special moments.
