I bought the sweater to travel in Europe

When I first put on the sweater, I thought it was a little more fitted at the bottom than I wanted. How, after wearing it a couple of days it loosened up perfectly. I wore it in anew Mexico for 10 days at around 5200 feet. Cold mornings were no problem for this sweater. I wore it with a down vest, but even with temps in the 30s, I often removed the vest quickly. I worried it would be too hot in the desert sun, and when the temps reached the 50s, if I was moving about, it got a little warm. But I was thankful for it in the shade. It proved to be good late winter layer at home.

I bought the sweater to travel in Europe. I am an avid hiker and wanted a single sweater that would serve as a hiking layer and something I could dress up a little in the evening. The color, fit, and performance of this sweater have been wonderful these past 20 days in Portugal. The weather here has been cooler and wetter than average, and I have appreciated the warmth the sweater provided! It is the piece of clothing I had been looking for over the past decade of travel. Lightweight, warm, versatile. To anyone considering late winter, early spring travel in Europe, l highly recommend the all season boatneck. Easy to care for, dried quickly the one time I washed it overseas, and a great foundation for a travel capsule. Looking forward to see how it continues to perform over the next two weeks as I walk a part of the Camino!

Slightly more fem style

The Medium boatneck sage green sweater fits me great. I was borderline on a size re: medium or a large and I went with medium and I’m glad. I’ve worn it with jeans and with business casual pants. It feels really well made unlike the cheap cashmere I bought from Quince that developed holes after a few wears. I’ve never spent even close to this on a sweater but now I have a collection of pilled and worn out sweaters and this feels like it will last. I like the boatneck and the body shape because I’m kind of hourglass shaped and this slightly more fem style looks better on me than the crew and v necks and more square bodied sweaters. This sweater is making me think about replacing my three somewhat worn out $50 black sweaters with one nice yak wool black sweater. I feel good spending more for quality, better practices for workers, animals and the environment. I do wish the promos were more transparent that this sweater is indeed made with yak wool but primarily is merino wool if you read fabric details. I would still buy it but you would create more trust for me by telling the whole story up front.

The yak yarn is really perfect

This is a great sweater, it is light-weight, warm, and comfortable. The yak yarn is really perfect - a soft feel that sits comfortably on your body, and not the least bit scratchy. So nice to have a natural material, reminds me of the locally made sweaters in Central America, but less bulky. This one was described as "undyed" and it is a beautiful natural brown color.

I normally take a large in womens, but this sleeve length and body length were long - it fit perfectly otherwise, and because it is not bulky I was able to easy adjust the length just by folding it at the wrists and waist - it stayed in place and still looked nice. I like the neckline too. Next time I will get a medium, but I am keeping this one!

Overall this seems like it would be comfortable over a wide temperature range, and would be a perfect base layer (especially since it does run long) for colder pursuits.

Thin enough to half tuck

Love the classic look. Fits great. Sleeves are long enough to cuff but I like the soft folds at my wrists. I love that the sweater is long but thin enough to half tuck it for a little style. So far I love it.

Alternative to all of the fleece sportswear I own

I realized about a year ago, that every time I wore poly fleece I wasn’t warm at all unless I added a wool base layer. I also learned about microplastics in laundry, how they enter our environment, and how they’re absorbed into our bodies. So I began my search for alternatives to all of the fleece sportswear I own. I need versatile pieces that go with all kinds of other clothing, Because I travel. I’m also trying to pare down my wardrobe and simplify.

I received my boat neck sweater today. I could not be more pleased! It is the most gorgeous charcoal, color, extremely soft and can be worn right against my sensitive skin, and it fits absolutely perfectly! I do have long limbs, so it’s not often that sleeves are long enough for me. But the sleeves of this sweater are! Today, I’m wearing it with jeans, but I know it will look great with black pants, skirts, and over dresses. I went for a walk this afternoon and put it over a sports bra and leggings, and it looked and felt great! It will not be hard at all to wear this for 30 days! I think that I would also like to add another color eventually. I’m so pleased with the fit and feel and style of this sweater, I think it was worth every penny!
