1-Week Sweater Challenge: 7 Days In My Yak Wool Sweater
Throughout the challenge, I felt good, which is the whole point of quality clothes, right?
A New Go-To In My Capsule Wardrobe
I just finished the 1-Week Sweater Challenge in my Oliver Charles crew neck sweater.
I was super excited to take the challenge mainly for sustainability and functionality reasons.
Since completing the challenge, I've already made big changes to my closet. Let me tell you why...
I found Oliver Charles while I was doing research because I was super frustrated with my current closet and the types of clothes I owned.
There are a lot of pieces in my closet that I rarely wear. My focus recently has been on living a more minimalistic lifestyle.
For me, that means having fewer and better, more functional pieces that I love and feel good wearing.
This Wool Sweater Is A+ For #Repeat wear
I found my way to the Oliver Charles website and found this gorgeous sweater made of khullu, which is yak wool and a totally new experience for me.
I decided to try it out, and I'm really happy I did.
One thing that I was skeptical about when I first started the 1-Week Challenge was whether I could honestly live in a sweater for a week without it smelling.
I tried it out, and it worked!
This Travel Sweater Is An Easy Companion
So my sweater arrived right before leaving for a West Coast adventure I've had planned for months.
It was sort of the perfect intro for the sweater because I was able to test how well yak wool performed on the go.
Having easily packable and wearable travel clothes is important for someone like me.
I not only wore my Oliver Charles sweater on the plane but also throughout the week, including remote work.
I was able to dress it up with a blazer, some earrings to have that more professional look, and then be able to just walk out and have either a night on the town.
I also wore it hiking and exploring the stunning redwoods!
The sweater was ultimately very versatile and kept me comfortable in every setting.
Wool Sweater Ideal For Everydat Wear
The Oliver Charles sweater stayed soft, and I never worried about odor or smell at all.
I'm actually on day eight now, which is surprising but oh so great.
Not that I plan to literally only wear this sweater every day moving forward, but it's good to know that I can, knowing how easy it is to pair with everything else I own.
Building A Minimalist Capsule Wardrobe
The sweater challenge marked a real shift in how I view my clothes.
The challenge and Oliver Charles sweater has given me the reassurance to take that next step forward to supporting brands that believe in sustainability and also living a more minimalistic lifestyle by owning and buying better.
Championing The #Repeat Movement
I would highly recommend this sweater to anyone who wants to avoid a lot of choices in the morning.
It's so easy just to pull on a sweater, and it's actually really empowering when you don't feel self-conscious about what you're wearing because it's the same thing every time.
#Repeat wear doesn't need to be the focus of your conversations with friends and family. But it can be if you want it to because this is exciting stuff!
If you believe that every good wardrobe starts with owning less and owning better, consider buying yourself an OLIVER CHARLES sweater.
