Summer Crew Neck

Initially, I was worried about the heat as this has been a hot and humid summer. It arrived right before my long weekend in Toronto, so I thought PERFECT, and it was. I wore it running all around town in August, and it was cool and comfortable. I didn't realize I was wearing a sweater. And although I worried it would start to stink, I smelled it daily before putting in on and it was just like new. I highly recommend this as you will not need to pack a number of items for a trip. AND even after seven days of wear, it holds its shape, which is unusual for cotton, so it must be the SeaCell. Excited to get the all-season sweater next.

I was looking for a sweater that I could wear everywhere. One you could dress up or down. And wondering what this kelp yarn would actually feel like. I think most people would enjoy this sweater.

Having recently retired, I have been working to downsize my closet. A lifestyle change equals a style change and I am wanting to create a more sustainable collection, one that makes me feel like me. Pieces that are versatile, stylish, and most of all comfortable. I’m tired of fast fashion and our throw away philosophy. I love sweaters but live in a warm climate which limits how often I wear them. I was drawn to the Instagram Oliver Charles stories of customers who were thrilled with their products and was also amazed by the creation process. The SeaCell sweater was calling my name due to its unique fiber make up and 3D print process! It seemed like the perfect warm climate sweater, and it is. I admire the companies sustainability goals and the efforts they are making to change how we look at our choices in clothing purchases. If you can wear a sweater for seven (or thirty!) days and love it each time you put it on, you have something to hold on to. I am pleased with my purchase and hope to add one or two more of these quality garments to my now smaller closet. If we truly are working to change the planet, this is a very joyful way to contribute! Everyone needs a feel good item that you can wear frequently and they have many to choose from!

It fit well. Feels soft but textury. The color is beautiful and matches other pieces I wear well. I will wear it with skirts, jeans, wide leg pants and over dresses. I like the idea that the sweaters are different than others.

Ordered the sweater because of the seaweed component. I was anxious to see how it looked, felt, etc. It is soft, fits nicely, and seems to wear well. Perfect summer weight. Goes well with my usual outfit of jeans.

I was curious about the seaweed so decided to try it. It was a classic sweater with no seams which is what the promotions said but that was hard to believe. The 7-day challenge was much easier than I thought. Even walking a mile in 80 degree heat didn't make it stink and it didn't stink after 7 days of wearing with no wash. Also the classic design of the summer crew made me feel dressed up every time I put it on. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a good sweater that is very sustainable, and easy care. The price is expensive but they say it will last a long time which means it is worth the price in the long run.

Everything about this sweater impressed me when I first put it in—and throughout the week. I was traveling the whole week, and when I got home, I tossed my sweater in the washer and dryer. It came out even softer and cozier than when it was brand new. I will definitely order more. These sweaters are appropriate for any situation I’ll face, and I look forward to trying the other styles.

Wearing this soft, comfortable sweater for 7 days straight turned out to be really easy, in fact, I wore it for 8. The light greenish blue went with a number of blouses and cardigans I already had. I like a layered look and this crew neck was a perfect underlayer, and when inside where it was warm, it looked good by itself.

I like to travel, and this sweater will definitely be going with me as it is so versatile.

I think a Medium would have been a good fit for me, but I tend to like looser clothing, so the Large works well.

I have not had to wash it yet, so I can’t speak to how that goes. So far, I have no negative criticisms or suggestions for improving what is a fine summer sweater. The only suggestion would be to offer some other colors. It is probably not economically possible, but natural dyes would be fantastic. Red onionskins, California Poppy root…

Work toward be ing able to incorporate a greater percentage of kelp in the yarn…but maybe that would not produce the strongest, softest fiber…you have probably played around with that already.

I have often made the mistake of buying cheap clothing because sometimes my money is tight. I know in theory that I should buy better quality because it will last longer, but I rarely invest in more expensive clothes. This time was different. I bought one crewneck seaweed sweater because I was intrigued (darker gray). I waited until I had worn it for a while and washed it once. It was great, so I bought two more (black and natural brown). Some money came in and I again bought two more (light gray and off-white). Now I have five of them. (Am I obsessive? Maybe.)

Living in Southern California, I like wearing layers. It can be warm in the daytime and cold at night. These sweaters work perfectly with a undershirt and a t-shirt below and a hoodie or jacket on top. The neutral colors can go with so many other things in my closet.

I have been wearing the two gray sweaters the most, and one nice surprise is that they don't attract cat hair. I have two cats. Their shedding makes it hard to wear certain clothes, but these two sweaters passed the test. I am not sure if the black or the off-white one will show cat hair more, but I already know that this material is not a big fur collector. Seamlessness is also a great benefit.

Well, to sum it up, I am sold on the idea of buying higher quality clothing and I look forward to your new designs. I will need to buy a hoodie (or five).
